Neo Cream is an advanced formula antiseptic cream containing potent antibacterials for the prevention and treatment of nappy rash, and for the treatment of minor cuts, wounds, sweat rash and chaffing in people of all ages.

Nappy Rash and Sweat Rash

Parents are understandably concerned when infants suffer from nappy rash, yet it is a common and treatable condition, which with care and appropriate treatment can be drastically reduced and even eliminated. The causes of nappy rash and sweat rash are very similar, moisture from sweat and urine remaining on the skin, especially in skin folds, encourages the growth of bacteria and fungi. It is the waste products of the bacteria such as ammonia that cause skin irritation.

The Prevention of Nappy Rash and Sweat Rash

At its simplest our advice is to keep the skin as dry as possible, this means changing the nappies as soon as possible when soiled. Cloth nappies are kinder to the skin than disposables but must be sterilised weekly, preferably by boiling. Always ensure that when washing skin of all ages that all soap residues are removed and that the skin is thoroughly dry before dressing or putting on a nappy.

The Treatment of Nappy Rash and Skin Rash

Follow the guidelines for prevention, then before dressing or putting on nappy apply a thin film of Neo Cream paying particular attention to where chafing may occur and also to skin folds.

The Treatment of Minor Cuts and Wounds

Clean the affected area then apply a thin film of Neo Cream. The wound may be covered with a plaster if required.
